---++ Mapping An Address


---+++ Process Overview.

Mapping is used as a preliminary connection test of a survey point to determine if connection is possible and secondly to show the Azimuth and the appropriate Access Point 

To correctly map a survey point the Longitude and Latitude must be entered into Radiomobile which is then used to plot a theoretical wireless connection from the survey point (generally a customers house) to one of our Access Points. This will also display the Azimuth which is used by our installers to align the CPE to our Access Points.

Getting the correct Longitude and Latitude of a survey point can be done by using SIX Viewer that provides access to 100% accurate geographical information on all properties in NSW.
For other states and properties that are not listed in SIX (People who don't know their street number), Google Earth can be used although the results are not as accurate. 

When looking up an address in SIX Viewer all information must be entered correctly. The street number must be used as Lots are no longer used as a formal means of property identification.

After this information is entered it will provide the Surveyors, Installers and Customer Service with information they need to complete their own processes.

---++++ Determining Longitude and Latitude

   i. From the wwwires directory go to [[http://imagery.maps.nsw.gov.au/][SIX Viewer]]
    On the right hand side of the page, enter the address for the survey point and press "Get Results" [[http://wiki.wwwires.com/twiki/pub/Provisioning/MappingProcess/address.jpg][See Image]]
   i. Locate the property and place a "Pin" on the survey point (defined as a black dot inside a red property boundary) [[http://wiki.wwwires.com/twiki/pub/Provisioning/MappingProcess/address2.jpg][See Image]]
   i. Copy and Longitude and Latitude (displayed at the bottom left hand corner) and enter it into respective fields in the customers file. [[http://wiki.wwwires.com/twiki/pub/Provisioning/MappingProcess/crm.jpg][See Image]]


---++++ Plotting theoretical wireless connections and determining relevant Azimuth

   i. Open MappingProcess

   i. In Unit Properties click "Enter LAT LONG or QRA" and press "Ok".    i. Go to "Tools" menu and Click "Radio Link" (F2 can also be used to access this page directly) [[http://wiki.wwwires.com/twiki/pub/Provisioning/MappingProcess/radiolink.jpg][See Image]]
   i. A new window will now be displayed showing the projected wireless link between the survey location (Left) and the selected access point (Right).    i. Once you have found a appropriate wireless link you will need to record the name of the access point and also the "Azimuth" which can be found at the top left corner.    i. If no wireless link is remotely possible complete a Survey Results form showing this.
